All of the rhino species you find at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical
Garden are under extreme pressure and in danger of disappearing
from their
natural
ranges
if more isn’t
done to save these magnificent species. (Click
here for more
information on Rhino Conservation). The black and white
rhinos of Africa, the greater and lesser one-horned
rhinos
of
Asia,
and the “hairy
rhino” of southeast Asia all need your help.
To support the efforts of the International Rhino Foundation
(IRF), the Zoo is making an extremely unique and invaluable offer
to the public - original works of art by our very own "Rhino
Rembrandts"!
Proceeds go directly to the International
Rhino
Foundation (IRF), our rhino conservation fund, and continuing keeper education.
Your generous contribution will help ensure that all rhino
species
and the wild
places
in
which they live will be ours to share for generations to come.
Good, Clean Fun
Ambassadors of three species of rhino call the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical
Garden home. The Zoo and its animal care staff are extremely dedicated to rhino
conservation as well as the care and well-being of those animals we house. Enrichment is
a key element to the high quality of care provided to these intelligent animals.
Using their semi-prehensile lip, our black, Indian and Sumatran rhinos
enjoy stimulating painting sessions with their dedicated caretakers.
Now that these one-of-a-kind paintings are being made available to the public
for purchase, our rhino ambassadors are directly affecting conservation of
their counterparts in the wild.
Click above for a link to your order form. You can personalize
your painting by choosing paint colors, canvas and matting
colors, as well as which
artist completes your work of art!
All of our rhinos love to paint and with your purchase, you are helping
to ensure their future in the wild.
