Crowned Lemur
Eulemur cornatus

A fearsome predator, a fossa, is spotted slinking through the brush. Sounding the alarm with grunt-shriek calls, crowned lemurs scamper up into the trees to escape. Long back legs give them jumping power and the ridged pads of their hands and feet grip the branches. Long tails provide balance.
