Aruba Island Rattlesnake

The Aruba Island rattlesnake is one of the rarest rattlesnakes in the world. The habitat remaining on Aruba Island is threatened by logging, agriculture and development. The snakes are also captured for the pet trade and hunted for their rattles. Conservation efforts are underway to protect the species and its habitat.
