Rhino
Dicerorhinus sumatrensis
The world’s most endangered rhinoceros, the Sumatran rhino,
suffers from deforestation and poaching for its horn. Conservation
efforts, including habitat protection, education and research,
are critical to the survival of the species. One effort involves
teams of people known as Rhino Protection Units that tear down
snares and traps set by poachers.
