Andrew Erkenbrecher Society

The Andrew Erkenbrecher Society (AES) recognizes those individuals whose commitment and means permit exceptional support of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Philanthropic gifts of $1,000 or more qualify for AES membership. The Society’s special goal is to encourage donations of unrestricted operating funds. This gives the Zoo’s board the flexibility to operate most effectively.

Supporting a World-Class Organization
The primary use of annual operating funds is to maintain the diverse animal and plant collections enjoyed by over 41,000 member households and 1.1 million annual visitors. Operating funds also support the Zoo’s award-winning educational programs, cutting-edge scientific research, and worldwide conservation efforts.

Contributions to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden through the Andrew Erkenbrecher Society provide the margin of excellence needed to run a world-class organization.

Free or reduced admission to more than 120 other zoos nationwide

Membership Levels:
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS:
Curator	Gifts of $1,000 to $2,499 annually
Explorer	Gifts of $2,500 to $4,999 annually
Director	Gifts of $5,000 to $9,999 annually
President	Gifts of $10,000 or more annually
Curator	Gifts of $1,000 to $2,499 annually
LIFETIME MEMBERSHIPS:
Founder	$500,000 cumulative or one-time gift

For tax purposes, the benefits listed have a fair market value or $75 – the value of the special events. Members can elect to waive these benefits to receive full deductibility of their gift. Membership in AES is available through the installment plan and is granted for twelve months from the date of pledge. Payment reminders may be sent monthly or quarterly. A membership in AES can be given as a gift to an individual or a couple.
