Shoots of Hippobroma longiflora growing from shoot tips that were stored for several years in liquid nitrogen using the encapsulation dehydration technique. Other methods for cryopreserving tissues have been used in the Plant Research Division, including slow freezing (two-step freezing) and encapsulation vitrification.
