Founded in 1994, Cercopan is a non-profit, NGO dedicated to conserving Nigeria’s endangered primates through rainforest conservation, community education and support, primate rehabilitation and research. The Cincinnati Zoo provided funds to help support local research assistants with behavioral monitoring and food preference/foraging studies. Results from these studies will help us learn more about the social hierarchies and needs of these little-studied species and will facilitate future efforts to reintroduce animals into protected forests
