We kick-off spring with Zoo Blooms, and then celebrate
our newest arrivals with Zoo Babies. How would
you like to feed a giraffe? This summer, you'll get the chance
when we open Giraffe Ridge in June! Also don't miss HallZOOween in
the fall and PNC
Festival of Lights in the winter.
Also, check out the Carousel for Conservation, Bird
Show, and Spaulding
Children's Zoo. As always, you'll find award-winning exhibits featuring
animals from every continent. Stroll through lush gardens. Tour

Zoo Babies “A
Celebration of Animal Families”
May 10-25
|
Zoo Babies, now in its 22nd year,
celebrates the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s
most dedicated and interesting animal families, including
the newest adorable additions.
Zoo Babies also features an exciting lineup of family activities
and entertainment each weekend from May 10 through May 25.
Entertainment includes: family concerts by Zak Morgan, Miss
Lori’s Campus, and Roger Day, meet & greets featuring
Curious George, among others. On Mother’s Day, May
11, admission is free for moms.

Safari Camp

Take a Walk on the Wild Side at
the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden as the Make-A-Wish
Foundation® of Greater Ohio,
Kentucky & Indiana celebrates its 25th anniversary! Join
them for this record-breaking year as this chapter raises
funds to fulfill the wishes of 800 children in the Greater
Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana area. Walkers will enjoy various
animal and plant species as they loop through the Zoo for
this annual event. All event participants will receive free
admission to the zoo after completion of the event.

African Sundowner

A fundraising event to benefit
the Cincinnati Zoo’s
Angel Fund – A foundation to help insure the future
of the endangered Cheetah in both the wild and in captivity.
Enjoy an African Sundowner buffet, cocktails, and a showcase
of Broadway stars. Erich Kunzel will emcee the night’s
events.

This summer watch our cheetahs race at top-speeds in the
Cheetah Encounter yard, don’t miss Asian elephants
enjoying a bath, birds from around the world flying just
over-head in our Great American Wings of Wonder Bird
Show and so much more.
Back by popular demand! You will have more opportunities
to Meet -A-Keeper as they bring you closer to the action
and share fascinating behind-the-scenes information about
the animals. Meet - A - Keeper opportunities include: polar
bears, seals, white lions, lemurs, gorillas, bonobos, orangutans,
manatees, elephants, rhinos, penguins, wolves, insects, reptiles
and many more.
Discover Lorikeet Landing, an open-air aviary filled with

Zoo Golf is back! Proceeds will benefit Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical
Garden's mission of Creating Adventure, Conveying Knowledge,

on-course mini games, great player gifts, and some special
visits from the Zoo's animals and their Keepers.

Children’s Zoo

If you are Wild about Wine, mark
your calendar for the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s
2008 wine and brew tasting events. All proceeds benefit
the Zoo’s Lindner Center for Conservation & Research
of Endangered Wildlife (CREW) – the umbrella for all local
and international conservation and research efforts of the Cincinnati
Zoo. Each event features a different theme. All tastings are from
6-8 pm in various indoor and outdoor facilities situated on Zoo grounds.
Visits from several of the Zoo’s animal ambassadors and a special
opportunity for a behind-the-scenes experience are part of each of
the four evening’s agendas. A silent auction, appetizers and
lively music compliment the event.

Cincinnati Zoo guests can check
out Tamron loader lenses for FREE and take a photo adventure
during the Zoo’s summer season. Be
sure to enter the Provident Camera Photo Contest for a chance
to win great Tamron equipment. All you need is a driver’s
license or credit card to try out a loaner. Make sure you

Cheetah Run
5K Run/Walk

Running enthusiasts and Zoo guests
can participate in a wild race through a wild place as
the Cincinnati Zoo hosts the
29th annual Cheetah Run 5K at 8 a.m. The 3.1-mile Cheetah
Run winds through the Zoo, highlighting its stunning gardens
and exotic animal exhibits. There will be a FREE Cheetah “Cub” Run

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is a resolute defender of the environment.
Kennedy was named one of Time Magazine’s “Heroes
for the Planet” for his success in helping Riverkeeper
lead the fight to restore the Hudson River. His group’s
achievements helped spawn more than 10 Waterkeeper organizations
across the globe. In addition, the Cincinnati Zoo is pleased
to announce that Kennedy has been selected as the 2008 recipient
of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s Barrows
Wildlife Conservation Award. This award is handed out each
year to someone the Cincinnati Zoo recognizes as a leader
in the field of wildlife conservation.

Little ghouls, boys and animals can enjoy three spooktacular
weekends of fun. Each Saturday and Sunday during HallZOOween
from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m., young Frankensteins (12 and
under) can trick-or-treat their way around the Zoo. Along
the way, guests may encounter Pumpkin Pandemonium – the
Zoo animal’s version of trick-or-treating, including
Gorilla Pumpkin Hunt, Elephant Pumpkin Smash, and Polar Bear
Pumpkin Bob, among others. Other activities include pumpkin
patch, spooktacular train ride, and scare-ousel.
